Das zweite Ausstellungsprojekt von Empty Spaces findet in einem großen leerstehenden Bürogebäude an der Graf Recke Straße in Düsseldorf statt. Die Künstler*innen, Absolventen*innen und aktive Studenten*innen der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf entwickeln wieder vor Ort in unterschiedlichen künstlerischen Medien ihre Arbeiten.
In der Natur ist die Metamorphose des Schmetterlings ein ganz selbstverständlicher und wunderschöner Prozess der Wandlung. Sie kann als Metapher für den Fortgang eines gesellschaftlichen und kulturellen Wandels stehen. Die Künstler entwickeln im Kontext eines Gebäudes, das sich im Umbruch befindet, ihre Visionen von der Veränderlichkeit von Raum und Zeit und der menschlichen Existenz im Mit- und Untereinander. Und am Ende ist der Flug des Schmetterlings ein neuer Weg: It`s a new dawn - It`s a new day - It`s a new life.
The second exhibition project of Empty Spaces will take place in a large vacant office building on Graf Recke Straße in Düsseldorf. The artists, graduates and active students of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf will again develop their works on site in different artistic media.
In nature, the metamorphosis of the butterfly is a natural and beautiful process of transformation. It can stand as a metaphor for the progress of social and cultural change. In the context of a building in transition, the artists develop their visions of the mutability of space and time and of human existence in togetherness and togetherness. And in the end, the flight of the butterfly is a new path: It`s a new dawn - It`s a new day - It`s a new life.
