Την Παρασκευή 27 Μαρτίου στις 7.30 μ.μ, η Art Seen – Contemporary Art Projects & Editions, μια πολιτιστική πλατφόρμα ανταλλαγής στη σύγχρονη τέχνη στο κέντρο της Λευκωσίας, ανοίγει τις πόρτες της στο φιλότεχνο κοινό και σας προσκαλεί στην πρώτη ομαδική έκθεση που διοργανώνει, με τίτλο Πολλαπλότητες. Τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης θα τελέσει ο Δήμαρχος Λευκωσίας κ. Κωνσταντίνος Γιωρκάτζης.
Με την ευκαιρία της πρώτης έκθεσης, δεκατρείς καλλιτέχνες από την Κύπρο και το εξωτερικό, έχουν κληθεί (commission) να δημιουργήσουν καινούρια έργα στη μορφή των πολλαπλών εκδόσεων (limited editions prints & multiples). Τα έργα που θα παρουσιαστούν δημιουργήθηκαν ειδικά για την Art Seen Editions μετά από πρόσκληση της ιδρύτριας Mαρίας Στάθη. Τα έργα περιλαμβάνουν εκτυπώσεις σε αρχειακό χαρτί, φωτογραφίες (c-prints), κολάζ, μεταξοτυπίες, τυπώματα, γλυπτά και σχέδια με μολύβι που φτιάχτηκαν με μικρές διαφοροποιήσεις (unique variations).
Στις 27 Μαρτίου λοιπόν, επιλέγουμε να δούμε τέχνη: να παρατηρήσουμε, να νιώσουμε και να κατανοήσουμε τη σύγχρονη οπτική γλώσσα μιας ομάδας καλλιτεχνών που 'μιλά' χρησιμοποιώντας το καινοτόμο μέσο, για το εικαστικό λεξιλόγιο της Κύπρου, των πολλαπλών εκδόσεων. Η έκθεση αποτελεί μια πρόταση που ανυπομονούμε να μοιραστούμε μαζί σας! Ευελπιστούμε με αυτόν τον τρόπο να σας παρασύρουμε σε ένα διάλογο από τον οποίο να προκύπτει μια εμπλουτισμένη αντίληψη του όρου "σύγχρονη τέχνη".

On Friday, March the 27th at 7.30 pm, Art Seen - Contemporary Art Projects & Editions, a cultural platform of exchange on contemporary art, in the city centre of Nicosia will open its doors to art lovers. We would like to invite you to the first group exhibition titled Multiplicities. The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Mayor of Nicosia Mr. Constantinos Yiorkadjis.
On the occasion of the first exhibition thirteen artists from Cyprus and abroad, have been commissioned to create new works in the form of limited editions prints and multiples. The artworks have exclusively been produced for Art Seen Editions following an invitation from the founder Maria Stathi. The artworks have been produced in different medium including prints on archival paper, photographs (c-prints), collage, silkscreens, sculptures and pencil drawings that were made in unique variations.
On March the 27th we choose to see art: to observe, experience and comprehend the contemporary visual language of a group of artists that ‘speak’ using an innovative tool for the visual vocabulary of Cyprus, multiples and limited editions. This exhibition is a proposal that we look forward to sharing with you! We hope in this way to lure you into a dialogue by showing an enhanced understanding of the term "contemporary art".
